Account Manager (Sales)


The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Internal (Sales) Account Manager within a well-established company specialising in Thermal Management and electromechanical components.  
The successful applicant will play an integral role in proactively managing an assigned existing group of customers building long-term, successful, and profitable business relationships. 


Details

Employing Company: DAU Components Ltd, based in Barnham, West Sussex
Reporting to: Sales Team Leader
Hours:   8:30AM to 5:00PM Monday to Thursday and 8:30AM to 2PM Friday. 35 hours per week.


Principle Responsibilities
  • Generate sales with pre-assigned existing customers, operating as their primary point of contact
  • Maintains, develops, enhances long-term business relationships 
  • Accurately identifying critical information to qualify a customer as a strategic account
  • Analyse existing customer base, to promote repeat and new sales 
  • Negotiation with approved suppliers, to enable effective procurement
  • Successfully manage multiple line of enquiries concurrently, often meeting deadlines
  • Competitively quoting products within the company portfolio and following these up accordingly
  • Provide technical support and guidance to promote full product range
  • Conducting relevant market research enabling competitive and strategic bids 
  • Engaging in a high level of effective communication with Customers/Suppliers 
  • Ensuring marketing strategies are fully exercised to grow business and promote brand awareness
  • Diligent use of the CRM system, to accurately manage, maintain and report on leads, orders, and data 
  • Make targeted outbound sales calls
  • Receive and handle inbound sales 
  • Adhoc – any other role requested and deemed necessary by member of the management team

Required Skills/Experience 
  • Relevant & significant experience in a Sales/Account management function
  • High degree of customer focus, liaising internally & externally to achieve desired results 
  • Highly motivated with a capability to organise a large workload
  • Experience with a CRM system 
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, but able to seek help and input when required
  • Resilience to succeed with everyday challenges
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Desirable Skills/Experience
  • Commercial experience in the manufacture and/or distribution of electromechanical components 
  • Educated to A-level standard or equivalent
